Marek Szlezer, born 1981, is one of t he most active polish pianists of the younger generation. He is a graduate of Ecole Normale in Paris, Academy of Music in Kraków and Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in Belgium studying with proff. E. Bukojemska, A.Rahman El-Bacha, D. Bashkirov and M.Crudeli. He is a lureate of many significant national, and international competitions. He has been particularly awarded for his interpretations of Chopin’s music ( i.e. he had been chosen to play a recital on an original piano of the composer ). He has performed in such halls as: Palais des Beaux-Arts, Salle Cortot and Chapelle Cziffra. In his particular interest is the piano music of polish composers creating between XIXth and XXth century. more
